Today is the Day!

Our bags are packed....our things are stored....and we're just about ready to hop on a plane. We'll head to Houston in a few hours to catch our 8:25 PM flight for the first leg of our journey. We'll fly out of LAX for East Asia in the early hours of the morning. We'll touch down around 4:30 Sunday afternoon, Texas time. (Which is rather early there!)

We appreciate your continued prayers. Be asking for smooth travel and a quick transition to our new location. We also ask that you'd be lifting up our transition to our apartment. We're still a little foggy on who exactly will be giving us the keys. It'll be exciting to step into our new home...we have no idea what it will be like!

Welcome to our blog!

Our intent is that this site would allow you to keep up with what's going on in our lives. As you probably know by now, we will be heading to East Asia in late August as English teachers. Had it not been for a crazy series of events (more details to come!) we never would have considered this as a viable option. We feel strongly that this is where God is leading us, and are quite excited!

We'll try to update the blog regularly to keep you up-to-date with what we're doing. We'll also be sending out monthly email updates with specific prayer requests and highlights of each month. If you're interested in receiving these, send us an email!

Our teaching contract is for one year, but we will likely renew it for 2-3 years. This will allow us to develop deeper relationships and take advantage of language learning.

We would really appreciate your prayers as we adjust to married life and prepare for life abroad!
