As most of you know internet has been unpredictable here, but I do think at last we have a consistent connection! Yay!
On that note, we can officially tell you all Happy Halloween from across the ocean! The people here do not celebrate Halloween, so we thought we would introduce a little bit of American culture to our students. We opened up our home for two days to allow all of our students to come by and 'trick or treat.' For most of our younger students this was their first time to hear about Halloween and to get to experience anything 'trick or treating'. All of our students were fascinated with our tiny jack-o-lantern, getting to see a pumpkin used for decoration rather than an ingredient in recipes! They really enjoyed coming over and we loved having them! It was a great way to get to see our students outside of class and to give them a break from their busy schedules.
We hope you all had a Happy Halloween!
